The study of the consequences and effects of media consumption on various cognitive and behavioral dimensions of audiences has attracted the attention of researchers and theorists for many years. Identifying the relationship between media consumption and life skills can help policymakers and media activists formulate and implement important strategies for the production of programs and media content.The present study was designed and implemented to analyze and compare the media consumption of Tehrani citizens and its relationship with their life skills, in order to provide new strategies in the field of content production. The research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of method, which was conducted using survey technique and questionnaire measurement tool. The statistical population includes all citizens living in Tehran, and based on the Morgan table, 396 people were selected as the sample size. The sampling method is a multi-stage cluster sampling method. Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, questionnaires were distributed and collected among the study sample via Google Form. The results showed that media consumption of Tehrani citizens (separated into listening to the radio, watching television, and using the Internet and cyberspace) had different effects on different dimensions (18 dimensions) of life skills among Tehrani citizens. Accordingly, the strategies presented are in proportion to the relationship between various consumer content and different dimensions of life skills, and these strategies are based on multifaceted and integrated approaches to address citizens' weaknesses in some skills and strengthen others.
