چکیده English

The participation of local community members in identifying and recording the cultural values of the neighborhood is achieved through cultural mapping. Cultural mapping offers new ways to record cultural affairs, places and communities. This is very important because the identification of cultural capacities and capitals is the main factor in the regeneration of society. In this research, we are trying to answer the question, what is the relationship between cultural mapping and cultural planning and cultural development of society? And how does cultural mapping help the society? This research is descriptive and analytical, and information has been collected with a documentary method. The purpose of the research is to study cultural mapping through similarities and differences with cultural development and cultural planning. From the point of view of the theoretical approach, it focuses on the theory of Stephen Mower, who believes that with the cultural development of society and cultural planning in the central core, cultural mapping causes the power of societies, and then related themes and categories are extracted and then their analysis is formed. The results of the research show that cultural mapping is a bottom-up process and is focused on participation and meaning. It documents the information through the sense of place and the meanings of the place and also identifies the tangible and intangible capitals of the place for cultural development.
