Conflict of Interest Policy – Strategic Studies on Culture Journal

This journal is committed to full transparency in the peer review and publication process. All authors, reviewers, and editorial board members are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

Definition:

A conflict of interest arises when personal, financial, professional, or academic relationships may influence—or appear to influence—an individual’s objectivity in research or editorial decisions.

Authors’ Responsibilities:

• Disclose all sources of funding, institutional affiliations, or personal relationships relevant to the manuscript
• Complete the conflict of interest disclosure form upon submission
• Update disclosures if circumstances change

Reviewers’ Responsibilities:

• Decline to review if a conflict of interest exists
• Disclose any relationship with the authors or subject matter
• Maintain impartiality and confidentiality

Editors’ Responsibilities:

• Review and manage disclosed conflicts of interest
• Assign independent and unbiased reviewers
• Document decisions in cases involving potential conflicts
