Strategic Studies on Culture Journal (SCSJ) is a peer-reviewed, open access quarterly journal published by the Research Institute of Culture, Art and Communication (RICAC), affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran.
The journal aims to explore theoretical and applied aspects of cultural policy, cultural management, and strategic planning in the cultural domain. It welcomes original research articles that contribute to the understanding of cultural systems, governance, and innovation in cultural development.
Language of publication: Persian (Farsi), with English abstracts
Publication frequency: Quarterly (four issues per year)
Access model: Open Access. All articles are freely available online without subscription or payment for readers.
Peer review process: Double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers
Article Processing Charges (APC): The journal charges authors a publication fee of 6,000,000 IRR for accepted articles. Details are provided in the “Author Guidelines” section.
License: Starting from Winter 2025, all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.
Ethical policies: The journal adheres to ethical publishing practices in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors, reviewers, and editorial board members are expected to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and avoid any form of research misconduct.
